Despite the established evidence on the benefit of cochlear implants in children only 50% of candidates receive them.

The Cochlear Implant: Patient Access To Hearing initiative is comprised of concerned parents, surgeons, audiologists, speech pathologists, surgeons, and cochlear implant recipients who want to increase awareness and understanding of cochlear implants for children who may benefit from them.

The goal of the CI: PATH initiative is that every parent of a child with hearing loss in the US will have timely referral and accurate information about cochlear implants in order to make an informed decision about their child’s hearing.

We hope to see the adoption of cochlear implants in children increase to 70% by 2032.
